Starting this summer, members of Student Leadership Club (SLC) began to go to the Seven Oaks Senior Community Center. With everyone living there being above the age of 55, some of the seniors were inexperienced with technology, so we came to help. All we needed to bring was a device, a small notepad, and a pen.

Most of the problems were simple, like how to open two tabs at once or how to send photos on a messaging app. While there were also some harder problems, we were eventually able to solve them through the use of the Internet. We also helped the seniors understand how we solved the problem, so they could be a bit more experienced with technology.

A lot of patience was required, but the seniors were nice and many stories behind them were interesting. Overall, the experience was fun, and we were able to learn some new things about technology as well!
