Due to the substantial turn out, watering went by quickly and volunteers quickly exhausted the water supply. Therefore, afterwards, Del and Beth led the SLC club members in tackling weeding. Volunteers mainly focused on weeds such as the artichoke thistle, black mustard, and others.

Getting rid of these invasive species is especially important as oftentimes, they will not only take over the land, but also prevent the growth of new natives.

Afterwards, the club members enjoyed snacks and a well earned break before returning home!
